I learned to love you
a few years back.
The Spirit touched me
just like that.
After countless days
of hating your ways,
the Spirit taught me
just like that.
I saw the picture
a few years back,
not just the flaws
and every crack.
Not just the hurt
and all of the dirt,
not just the flaws
and every crack.
Frustration
Indignation
Consideration
Contemplation
Prostration
Revelation
Salvation
I learned to love you
a few years back.
Took the trash out
just like that.
From cellar to dome,
it was fouling my home.
Took the trash out
just like that.
